Graduate of Central HS, GR Junior College (AAS) and Western Michigan Univ.(BS) with post college study at University of Chicago. Served in community service and faith development in the United Methodist Church. Extensive leadership development and leadership roles nationally, (Boards: United Methodist Women, Board of Global Ministries, United Methodist Community House, Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility/NY, WMEAC) NGO Delegate to the United Nations: Geneva, Switzerland/Human Rights/migration and UN Commission on Women/NY. Social justice advocate: human rights, environmental concerns, innovative public education, racial justice and more.
